The term "Afrobeats" is a catch-all term for all popular music emerging from countries in the African continent (Ghana, Nigeria, Congo, South Africa etc).
Deborah has been dancing for most of her life. She is of Congolese descent , and was born in Paris, France. She then later moved to the U.S. in 1999. She was a dance minor at TWU in Denton, TX and started teaching dance in 2009 at Dancer's Workshop Studios in Lewisville, TX. After moving to Phoenix, AZ and taking a long break from dance, she decided to get back to her first love and pursue her dream of choreographing and teaching dance again.
Why Afrobeats dance? It's fun! It's challenging! It's a workout! It's a community! It's a culture! It's dance! It's fitness!
